Hernon Manufacturing was chosen to assist FAMU-FSU College of Engineering with their entry in the Sunrayce. The project required bonding the solar panels to the car with a quick method of changing broken panels during the race. Hernon Manufacturing's Quantum cyanoacrylate adhesive provided the solution. |

Dear Hernon Manufacturing: As a supporter for the development of SunSation, our solar-powered car, I wanted to tell you about the outcome of our efforts and to again thank you and Hernon for your donation of the CA adhesive used in our solar array, as well as the technical advice that you provided to the students... ...the students accomplished a significant feat - they built a successful car from scratch! It was a great educational experience and provided a "real life" chance to use the information and skills learned in the classroom. They are enthusiastic about further improving the design and entering the car in the anticipated Sunrayce 2001. In the meantime, it will be entered in other competitions and exhibited at other events as a means of attracting young students to the engineering profession and educating the general public with regard to energy issues. We could not have built SunSation without your help and that of our other sponsors. On behalf of the team and the school, I want to again thank you for your support.
