Hernon Manufacturing has retaining compounds that are applied easily by hand and offer fast anaerobic curing, high strength and temperature resistance up to 300°F (149°C).

Self-Locking Adhesives Cure When Activated

Hernon Manufacturing offers an entire line of retaining compounds designed to lock in place shaft and collar assemblies and other cylindrical components. Application is simple and the adhesive cures in place anaerobically once the collar is assembled. Hernon Manufacturing retaining compounds exhibit a variety of useful properties including oil/moisture resistance and exceptional shear strength. Custom formulas are also available as necessary to ensure a strong match to manufacturing requirements.

  • Cylinlock® 52631H: A single component, anaerobic retaining adhesive designed for the bonding of cylindrical parts.
  • Cylinlock® 824: A general purpose, single component, anaerobic adhesive used primarily for joining cylindrical assemblies of all types.
  • Cylinlock® 846: A fast curing, high strength anaerobic adhesive yielding higher shear strengths with temperature resistance up to 300°F (149°C)
  • Cylinlock® 842: A high temperature, high strength anaerobic adhesive designed to retain and seal cylindrical assemblies. Tolerates temperatures up to 450°F.
