Cyanoacrylate adhesives are also commonly known as "Instant Glues" or "Super Glue" and are abbreviated as "CAs" within the adhesive industry. Common fixture times for CAs range between two and 50 seconds depending on the substrate. While stronger bonds are available in epoxies and other long curing adhesives, cyanoacrylates still produce significant holding power and are often available at a lower cost. Common substrates that cyanoacrylate adhesives bond include metals, rubbers, most plastics and more.
