Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Basic math skills (Helpful)
• Must pass the pulmonary functioning test
• Good finger dexterity
• Ability to work as a team
• Able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height and climb ladder repeatedly
• Punctual and Dependable
• Able to work overtime as needed

PREFERRED SKILL
• Operate and maintain large press and Norden tube filling machines.
• Forklift Certification

    Position Summary

    Hernon Manufacturing is excited to announce an entry-level opportunity for a bench pourer. Hernon has been a family-owned business since 1978. Job responsibilities include tube filling, labeling, and packaging all material into various containers in a timely and efficient manner. Guidance, support, and work instructions will be provided. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following

      • Authorized to reject any material deemed expired or unfit per Hernon Standards (Quality)
      • Set up and acquire all materials needed to fill customer orders (Pick and Pack)
      • Fill all containers as cleanly and efficiently as possible (Attention to detail)
      • Label all containers and mark batch numbers on them
      • Package all containers in approved boxes
      • Must work in a safe and efficient manner
