• High school diploma is a must, Associate Degree in Chemistry is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years lab experience, preferably in adhesives or coatings
• Able to use/learn instrumentation such as Brookfield, Instron, etc.
• Basic data entry skills – Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Required to handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Not allergic to chemicals or bio-substances found in laboratory or production facilities
Designing and executing testing according to standard procedures. Conducting experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following
• Collaboratively work with team members to create solutions and solve problems
• Prepare lab batches for coatings or adhesives in the laboratory
• Prepare and maintain test data for review
• Conduct quality-control tests and evaluate sample performance
• Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
