Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Associates Degree in Chemistry Preferred
• Minimum of 2 years working in a chemical or related industry and/or equivalent experience
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Computer knowledge preferred
• Follow good manufacturing practices

    Position Summary

    Schedule, organize and participate in the preparation on production batches. Train new personnel. Keeps track of incoming raw material and waste disposition. Supervises batch makers or chemical operators.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following

      • Maintains close working relationship with Quality Department and Production
      • Authorized to stop chemical and bulk production when circumstances are hazardous
      • Maintain control of the raw material inventory
      • Request purchasing of raw material with supervisor approval and keep track of the delivery time
      • Ensure that the product is made on time
      • Disposition of empty drums and non-hazardous material
      • Report any abnormal situation during the manufacturing of the products
      • Work in a safe and efficient manner
      • Promotes and uses SPC problem-solving techniques in resolving problems and presenting data
      • Updates and documents all pertinent information as required by the ISO procedures due MTD
      • Prepare and submits topics reports to the Plant Manager with copies to the related departmental personnel
      • Complies with OSHA regulations
      • Works with bulk chemical operators for critical bulk production, if required
      • Must travel upon request
      • Proposes procedures to improve bulks and finished goods production systems
