Formulations

Hernon® Porosity Sealant (HPS) Surfactant 381001 is a single component product designed to be used as wetting agent.

ReAct® 766 is a tough acrylic adhesive designed primarily for bonding permanent magnets. ReAct® 766 has also found wide acceptance in a variety of structural bonding applications due to its versatile performance capabilities. ReAct® 766 provides high tensile strength while maintaining excellent product flexibility. This results in tough durable bonds with outstanding impact and pee1 resistance. Temperature resistance from –40°C (-40°F) to 204°C (400°F). ReAct® 766 is a single component adhesive used in combination with Hernon® Activator 59 or Activator 63 for curing at room temperature. The adhesive may also be heat cured at 150°C.

Primer 50 is a single component, non-CFC solvent-based product designed to promote the cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants. Primer 50 is used where increased cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants is required. It is especially recommended for applications with passive metals or inert surfaces and with large bond gaps. It is particularly recommended for cure conditions below 15°C. Primer 50 meets the requirements of ASTM D5363 (Grade N) and MIL-S-46163A Grade F.

Primer 57 is a single component, solvent-free, reactive monomer-based product designed to promote the cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants. Primer 57 is used where increased cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic products is required, and for difficult to bond applications where galvanized steel or zinc electroplated surfaces are involved. This product was specially formulated for increasing bond integrity on dichromated surfaces.

Dripstop® 946 is a high-performance adhesive/sealant specifically formulated for the sealing and mild locking of hydraulic and pneumatic threaded parts used with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Dripstop® 946 will seal pipe threads, standard nuts and bolts, fittings for hydraulic and pneumatic systems, air conditioners, fittings for refrigeration equipment, and all types of water and chemical processing valves and equipment, including steam up to 300°F. Dripstop® 946 is a single component, thixotropic (non-migrating) anaerobic adhesive/sealant, that does not contain PTFE, and will provide a rapid cure at room temperature. Upon cure, Dripstop® 946 becomes a highly crosslinked thermoset plastic preventing leakage from shock, vibration as well as corrosive liquids and atmospheres.

Windshield Welder 772 is a single component ultraviolet curing adhesive. It is especially formulated for repair of windshields in automobiles. Windshield Welder 772 is an ideal product to use for penetrations and long cracks where vibration is expected.

SelfSealer® 604 is a tough, pre-applied, non-hardening threaded sealant. When dried, it becomes a resilient, tight clinging, non-curing sealant for tapered or straight threads. It provides an instant seal on different pipe threads and can be used up to eight (8) times without recoating. SelfSealer® 604 is water based, non-toxic, safe and can be applied easily without special handling precautions. It provides resistance to vibrational loosening because of its prevailing torque characteristics. Therefore, it is very effective on non-locking applications.

Hernon® has taken the excellent bond strength of Fusionbond adhesive family and merged it with the simplicity of a two-component, no-mix curing system to create Fusionbond® 374. Fusionbond® 374 is a 100% solid, room temperature cure, versatile structural adhesive which is used in conjunction with Hernon® Activator 56, 15 or 16. This formulation will offer rapid, high strength and high impact resistant bonds to a variety of substrates within minutes. Designed for a wide variety of substrates, Fusionbond® 374 offers excellent temperature and chemical resistance. The two-component, no-mix system allows controlled assembly ideal for production and repair applications. A structural bond develops within minutes.

Porosity Sealant (HPS) 991 is the solution to leak proof parts, improving machinability, in addition to increasing the durability and surface quality for painting and plating. The required addition of HPS Initiator 91 activates HPS 991R enabling the system to cure at elevated temperatures (HPS 991). The hardened resins exhibit superior chemical resistance and elevated temperature stability. The microscopic voids, where potential leaks occur (between metal grains or ceramic plastic molecules) in the part are filled by the low viscosity resin during vacuum application. Sealed micropores cure without shrinkage when exposed to elevated temperature to form tough cross-linked thermoset polymer, permanently sealing the workpiece. Residual adhesive film is water-washed from the part surfaces during rinsing. The parts leave the impregnating process without surface residue and can then be used in production immediately. When used in preparation for plating or painting processes, the impregnation process also eliminates absorption of plating materials (like acids) or painting prep solvents that could otherwise later bleed out of pores causing finishes to discolor, bleed, pit or peel. Sealed powdered metal parts exhibit better machinability, enhanced tool life and better dimensional control.

Supertacker® 351 is a single component, high performance elastomeric adhesive that exhibits exceptional bonding characteristics to a broad range of materials including metals, glass, plastic composites, rubber, leather, wood and vinyl. Supertacker® 351 provides a tough, waterproof bond that won’t crack or become brittle. Supertacker® 351 out-performs silicones, acrylics, and rubber cement because it bonds to more surfaces with greater strength and durability.

UV FOG (Form on Gasket) 41764A is an EB/UV curable product that provides excellent adhesion to shaft seals, oil seals, metals, glass, ceramics and plastics. Can be used as a Form-in-place gasket in oil and coolant systems. Typical applications include Engine covers, Oil pans and other fluid seal systems.

Nuts N’ Bolts® 425 is a single component anaerobic thread locking material, which is thixotropic and develops medium to high strength. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces.

Ultrabond® 71813 is a single component, tri-cure conformal coating formulated for bonding glass to glass or glass to metals. Ultrabond® 71813 is excellent for bonding and tacking many parts. Ultrabond® 71813 can also be cured with heat above 200°F (93°C) or Activator 56 or 59. Exposure to a high intensity UV light will cure these adhesives to a dry, hard surface.

Porosity Sealant (HPS) 59801 is a low viscosity liquid sealant designed for sealing interfacial leak paths in flexible electronic assemblies. It may also be used to enhance dielectric strength or seal porosity in passive materials. The dual-cure system incorporated in HPS 59801 offers the advantage of elevated temperature curing or curing at room temperature. HPS 59801 is typically applied with a vacuum impregnation process that removes air from the internal void and then saturates the part with liquid sealant. In the absence of circulating air, the liquid rapidly polymerizes to form a tough, flexible, thermoset polymer that permanently seals gaps in the assembly. Excess liquid sealant is rinsed from the outside of the part with an aqueous solution effectively leaving no surface build up. Parts processed with HPS 59801 are sealed internally but remain cosmetically and dimensionally unchanged. Typical applications include sealing or unitizing over-molded electrical components against leakage of air, water, coolants, oils and other fluids. As a good insulator, HPS 59801 may also be used to improve the dielectric strength across gaps between high voltage conductors.

LT YELLOW-AMBER, 1 LITER

Threadpaste 432 is a single component anaerobic thread-locking compound designed for heavy duty applications subject to operating temperatures to 450°F (232°C). The product delivers high strength locking and sealing on screws, nuts, bolts, studs and fittings. Excellent break-loose and prevailing torque values assure maximized resistance to transverse vibration loosening at elevated temperatures.

Supertacker® 353 is a single component, high performance elastomeric adhesive that exhibits exceptional bonding characteristics to a broad range of materials including metals, glass, plastic composites, rubber, leather, wood and vinyl. Supertacker® 353 provides a tough, waterproof bond that won’t crack or become brittle. Supertacker® 353 out-performs silicones, acrylics, and rubber cement because it bonds to more surfaces with greater strength and durability.

Silastomer® 336 is a high performance, single component, acetoxy, ready to use silicone. It has a paste-like consistency, which cures to a tough, resilient and durable silicone rubber when exposed to moisture in the air. Since it will not flow of its own weight, Silastomer® 336 can be applied to vertical, horizontal and overhead joints without sagging or running off. It will adhere to clean metals, glass, most types of wood, silicone resin, vulcanized silicone rubber, natural and synthetic fiber, ceramic, many plastics and painted surfaces. Silastomer® 336 provides excellent resistance to moisture, weathering, vibration, ozone and extreme temperatures. It can be applied in surface temperatures of 0°F to above 120°F with no loss in performance. Fully cured Silastomer® 336 can withstand extended periods at temperatures up to 400°F.

Activator 51 is a solvent-free product that is designed to initiate the cure of Hernon® toughened acrylic adhesives. Since Activator 51 contains no solvents, no waiting time for solvent evaporation is needed prior to assembly.
