Formulations

Nuts N’ Bolts® 425 is a single component anaerobic thread locking material, which is thixotropic and develops medium to high strength. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces.

Ultrabond® 71813 is a single component, tri-cure conformal coating formulated for bonding glass to glass or glass to metals. Ultrabond® 71813 is excellent for bonding and tacking many parts. Ultrabond® 71813 can also be cured with heat above 200°F (93°C) or Activator 56 or 59. Exposure to a high intensity UV light will cure these adhesives to a dry, hard surface.

Porosity Sealant (HPS) 59801 is a low viscosity liquid sealant designed for sealing interfacial leak paths in flexible electronic assemblies. It may also be used to enhance dielectric strength or seal porosity in passive materials. The dual-cure system incorporated in HPS 59801 offers the advantage of elevated temperature curing or curing at room temperature. HPS 59801 is typically applied with a vacuum impregnation process that removes air from the internal void and then saturates the part with liquid sealant. In the absence of circulating air, the liquid rapidly polymerizes to form a tough, flexible, thermoset polymer that permanently seals gaps in the assembly. Excess liquid sealant is rinsed from the outside of the part with an aqueous solution effectively leaving no surface build up. Parts processed with HPS 59801 are sealed internally but remain cosmetically and dimensionally unchanged. Typical applications include sealing or unitizing over-molded electrical components against leakage of air, water, coolants, oils and other fluids. As a good insulator, HPS 59801 may also be used to improve the dielectric strength across gaps between high voltage conductors.

Hernon External Ammunition Sealant 76070 is a single component, U.V curable anaerobic sealant. 76070 has a low viscosity penetrating material capable of bonding and sealing primers and case mouths in ammunition. This sealant is specially formulated for Ammunition that needs greater fit tolerance and higher bullet pull forces. Curing occurs when the adhesive is applied between mating surfaces. The cured adhesive is a thermoset plastic suitable and endures exposure to most solvents. Ammunition Sealant 76070 cures quickly at room temperature without the need for surface activators or heat to seal primer and case mouth assemblies. Fixturing strength develops in two to three minutes, Full strength will be reached in 24 hours. Cure fillets at UV light irradiances above 100 milliwatts/cm² to insure proper cure. Threadpaste 432 is a single component anaerobic thread-locking compound designed for heavy duty applications subject to operating temperatures to 450°F (232°C). The product delivers high strength locking and sealing on screws, nuts, bolts, studs and fittings. Excellent break-loose and prevailing torque values assure maximized resistance to transverse vibration loosening at elevated temperatures.

Supertacker® 353 is a single component, high performance elastomeric adhesive that exhibits exceptional bonding characteristics to a broad range of materials including metals, glass, plastic composites, rubber, leather, wood and vinyl. Supertacker® 353 provides a tough, waterproof bond that won’t crack or become brittle. Supertacker® 353 out-performs silicones, acrylics, and rubber cement because it bonds to more surfaces with greater strength and durability.

Silastomer® 336 is a high performance, single component, acetoxy, ready to use silicone. It has a paste-like consistency, which cures to a tough, resilient and durable silicone rubber when exposed to moisture in the air. Since it will not flow of its own weight, Silastomer® 336 can be applied to vertical, horizontal and overhead joints without sagging or running off. It will adhere to clean metals, glass, most types of wood, silicone resin, vulcanized silicone rubber, natural and synthetic fiber, ceramic, many plastics and painted surfaces. Silastomer® 336 provides excellent resistance to moisture, weathering, vibration, ozone and extreme temperatures. It can be applied in surface temperatures of 0°F to above 120°F with no loss in performance. Fully cured Silastomer® 336 can withstand extended periods at temperatures up to 400°F.

Activator 51 is a solvent-free product that is designed to initiate the cure of Hernon® toughened acrylic adhesives. Since Activator 51 contains no solvents, no waiting time for solvent evaporation is needed prior to assembly.

DEACTIVATOR FOR UV FOG, 500 GRAMS

Bullet Proof 650 is an environmentally friendly, single component, room temperature cure sealant and coating material. Bullet Proof 650 is formulated to waterproof and seal the interface between a bullet and cartridge. Bullet Proof 650 coats the inside of large shells to prevent the corrosive attack by the cartridge on the ignition powder.

Ultrabond® 55711 is a single component anaerobic and UV curable, paste-like sealing compound formulated to provide instant sealing and bonding of electrical connectors. Upon exposure to UV energy an outer cured skin will be formed to prevent migration of the sealant out of the connector during normal daily handling. The sealant inside of the skin maintains its original property. Upon insertion of the wire to the connector, the sealant in the connected area will cure to offer an environmentally resistant and secure connection.

Silastomer® 340 is a one-component, acetoxy, moisture curing RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) ready-to-use adhesive / sealant and gasketing compound. Can be used as a form in place gasket material where temperatures may reach up to 600°F. Silastomer® 340 will remain flexible with excellent resistance to aging and vibration. Meets MIL-A-46106B Type 1 requirements. FDA compliant with Regulation Title 21 CFR 175.105 where incidental food contact may be involved.

SelfSealer® 622 is a tough, pre-applied, non-hardening threaded sealant. SelfSealer® 622 provides an instant seal on different pipe threads and can be used up to eight (8) times without recoating. SelfSealer® 622 is water based, non-toxic, safe and can be applied easily without special handling precautions. SelfSealer® 622 provides resistance to vibrational loosening because of its prevailing torque characteristics. Therefore, it is very effective on non-locking applications.

Cylinlock® 842 is a high temperature, high strength anaerobic adhesive designed to retain and seal cylindrical assemblies. This compound will cure on metallic or non-metallic substrates and is suitable for exposure to most solvents.

Cylinlock® 847 is a high temperature, high strength anaerobic adhesive designed to retain and seal cylindrical assemblies. This compound will cure on metallic or non-metallic substrates and is suitable for exposure to most solvents.

Cylinlock® 94953 is a high-temperature, high strength anaerobic adhesive designed to retain and seal cylindrical assemblies. This compound will cure on metallic or non-metallic substrates and is suitable for exposure to most solvents.

External Ammunition Sealant 76040 is a single component, U.V curable anaerobic sealant. 76040 has a low viscosity penetrating material capable of bonding and sealing primers and case mouths in ammunition. It is specially formulated for pre-assembled components; it works by capillary action sealing ammunition and improving bullet pull force. Curing occurs when the adhesive is applied between mating surfaces. The cured adhesive is a thermoset plastic and endures exposure to most solvents. Ammunition Sealant 76040 is a low strength sealant that cures quickly at room temperature without the need for surface activators or heat to seal primer and case mouth assemblies. Porosity Sealant (HPS) 990 is the solution to leak proof parts, improving machinability, in addition to increasing the durability and surface quality for painting and plating. HPS 990 is also excellent for sealing leak paths in rigid electronic assemblies. The hardened resins exhibit superior chemical resistance and elevated temperature stability. The microscopic voids, where potential leaks occur in the part are filled by the low viscosity resin during vacuum application. Sealed micropores cure without shrinkage to form tough cross-linked thermoset polymer, permanently sealing the piece. Excess residual adhesive is washed from the part surface during rinsing with water. The parts leave the impregnating process without surface residue and can then be used in production within a few short hours. The resin polymerizes, sealing gaps in any assembly. This protects electrical components against leakage from air, water, coolants and oils. When used in preparation for plating or painting processes, the impregnation process also eliminates absorption of plating materials (like acids) or painting prep solvents that could otherwise later bleed out of pores causing finishes to discolor, bleed, pit or peel. Sealed powdered metal parts exhibit better machinability, enhanced tool life and better dimensional control.
