Formulations

Cylinlock® 846 is a fast-curing, high-strength anaerobic adhesive yielding higher shear strengths with temperature resistance up to 300°F (149°C). It provides relatively quick cures, outstanding solvent resistance, and improved reliability for metal service applications. Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for use in commercial and residential potable water systems.

Nuts N’ Bolts® 225 is a single component, high strength, anaerobic compound used to lock and seal coarse threaded nuts, bolts, and studs in a wide variety of applications.

Silastomer® 333 is a high performance, single component, ready to use adhesive / sealant. It has a paste-like consistency, which cures to a tough, resilient and durable silicone rubber when exposed to moisture in the air. Since it will not flow of its own weight, Silastomer® 333 can be applied to vertical, horizontal and overhead joints without sagging or running off. It will adhere to clean metals, glass, most types of wood, silicone resin, vulcanized silicone rubber, natural and synthetic fiber, ceramic, many plastics and painted surfaces. Silastomer® 333 provides excellent resistance to moisture, weathering, vibration, ozone and extreme temperatures. It can be applied in surface temperatures of 0°F to above 120°F with no loss in performance. Fully cured Silastomer® 333 can withstand extended periods at temperatures up to 400°F.

Adhesion Promoter 42 is a single component product designed to improve adhesion to low surface energy plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and Santoprene to similar substrates using Quantum® and Instantbond® adhesives.

Tuffbond® 316 is a two component, room temperature cure system. By changing the ratio of resin and hardener, the cured adhesive can change from a tough and flexible to a hard and rigid system. Tuffbond® 316 is recommended for bonding metal, glass, wood, concrete, and rubber, and can be used for potting and encapsulation of electrical and electronic components.

Activator 63 is a solvent-based product, specially formulated to promote the cure of Hernon Adhesives.

Primer 46 is a single component, solvent-free, reactive monomer-based product designed to promote the cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants. Primer 46 is used where increased cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants is required. It is especially recommended for applications with passive metals or inert surfaces and with large bond gaps. It is particularly recommended for cure conditions below 15°C.

Cylinlock® 824 is a general purpose, single-component, anaerobic adhesive used primarily for joining cylindrical assemblies of all types. It is a low viscosity, self-hardening adhesive that cures when confined between ferrous or copper alloy metals. The cured adhesive is a thermoset plastic suitable for exposure to most solvents.

HASA 716 is a single component structural anaerobic adhesive formulated for bonding rigid assemblies at high temperatures. This high strength acrylic adhesive cures when it is confined between mating surfaces. Utilized for bonding magnets in motor assemblies and structural applications, HASA 716 provides a strong permanent bond and is resistant to impact and vibration. Hernon Primer 50 accelerates the cure. HASA 716 is similar in function to Loctite A533 and Loctite AA332 and delivers high shear strength and tensile strength. One of its primary uses is securing permanent magnets in motor magnet bonding applications. HASA 66071 is a single component structural anaerobic adhesive formulated for bonding rigid assemblies at high temperatures. HASA 66071 cures when it is confined between mating surfaces. Hernon® Primer 50 accelerates the cure.

Primer 49 is a single component, non-CFC solvent based product designed to promote the cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants. Primer 49 is used where increased cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants is required. It is especially recommended for applications with passive metals or inert surfaces and with large bond gaps. It is particularly recommended for cure conditions below 15°C. Primer 49 meets the requirements of MIL-S-22473E (Grade T) and ASTM D5363 (Grade T).

Nuts N’ Bolts® 420 is a single component anaerobic thread locking material, which is thixotropic and develops low strength for easy disassembly. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces.

Nuts N' Bolts® 434 is a thixotropic, 100% active anaerobic compound which solidifies with reliable and expected strength upon application to most fasteners. Particularly suitable for applications on less active substrates such as stainless steel and plated surfaces, where disassembly with hand tools is required for servicing. Nuts N' Bolts® 434 is easily applied. No mixing (single component), no curing outside the joint and no torque adjustments are necessary. Nuts N' Bolts® 434 offers increased profitability, having approximately 80% cost advantage over the cheapest mechanical methods as well as reducing inventories, maintenance, and the need for costly precision tolerances. Nuts N' Bolts® 434 can be used on up to 3/4inch bolts with light oil contamination.

Cylinlock® 822 is a high performance, single component, 100% active anaerobic adhesive/sealant formulated for dependable bonding of fitted cylindrical parts. Cylinlock® 822 offers high strength as well as superior heat and chemical resistant bonding at room temperature. Cylinlock® 822 is formulated for applications, which require superior strength with temperature resistance up to 300°F (149°C).

Activator 56 is a single component, non-CFC solvent-based product, designed to promote the cure speed of Hernon® Structural Adhesive/Sealants. Activator 56 is used where increased cure speed of Hernon® anaerobic adhesives and sealants is required. Especially recommended for applications with passive metals, inert surfaces or where large gaps are present.

Nuts N’ Bolts® 428 is a single component anaerobic threadlocking compound designed for heavy duty applications subject to operating temperatures to 450°F (232°C). The product delivers high strength locking and sealing on screws, nuts, bolts, studs and fittings. Excellent break-loose and prevailing torque values assure maximized resistance to transverse vibration loosening at elevated temperatures. Meets requirements of CID A-A-59720 Grade HT

Dripstop® 947 is a high-performance adhesive/sealant specifically formulated for the sealing and mild locking of hydraulic and pneumatic threaded parts used with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Dripstop® 947 will seal pipe threads, standard nuts and bolts, fittings for hydraulic and pneumatic systems, air conditioners, fittings for refrigeration equipment, and all types of water and chemical processing valves and equipment, including steam up to 350°F. Dripstop® 947 is a single component, thixotropic (non-migrating) anaerobic adhesive/sealant, that does not contain PTFE, and will provide a rapid cure at room temperature. Upon cure, Dripstop® 947 becomes a highly crosslinked thermoset plastic preventing leakage from shock, vibration as well as corrosive liquids and atmospheres.

Silastomer® 343 is a black, high performance, single component, ready to use adhesive / sealant. It has a paste-like consistency, which cures to a tough, resilient and durable silicone rubber when exposed to moisture in the air. Designed to provide excellent oil resistance and can be used as a form in place gasket. It will adhere to clean metals, glass, most types of wood, silicone resin, vulcanized silicone rubber, natural and synthetic fiber, ceramic, many plastics and painted surfaces. Silastomer® 343 provides excellent resistance to moisture, weathering, vibration, ozone and extreme temperatures. It can be applied in surface temperatures of 0°F to above 120°F with no loss in performance. Fully cured Silastomer® 343 can withstand extended periods at temperatures up to 400°F.

Tuffbond® 317 is a two component, room temperature cure system. By changing the ratio of resin and hardener, the cured adhesive can change from a tough and flexible to a hard and rigid system. The resin offers a unique combination of hardness and flexibility with high chemical and solvent resistance. Tuffbond® 317 is recommended for bonding metal, glass, wood, concrete, and rubber, and can be used for potting and encapsulation of electrical and electronic components.

Accelerator 58 is a single component non-CFC solvent-based product, formulated to provide a faster cure on acidic surfaces and cure excess Instantbond? cyanoacrylate adhesive outside the bond line. Accelerator 58 is used to increase the cure speed of Hernon® Instantbond® Adhesives. It is especially suited for post application on exposed Instantbond® adhesive outside of the bond line. Loudspeaker assembly and bonding jewelry are two examples.
